SUSTAINABILITY POLICY
Considering the natural, social, and cultural setting in which we operate, Breathless Resorts & Spa are committed to achieving environmental and social sustainability.
Breathless Resorts make up 150 room “Unlimited Luxury” resort situated on a peninsula in the Cruise Ship Freeport of the world-renowned Montego Bay. The resort includes water sports, a selection of 6 dining options, 4 bars and a myriad of activities including nightly entertainment and disco.
Freeport is home to a wide array of aquatic flora and fauna living within the delicate environment of our coral reefs. Wetlands run parallel with our beach and accommodate not only mangroves but a variety of birds, reptiles, and crabs. Our operation has potential impacts on these eco-systems and so we are committed to monitoring them with stringent measures to protect the environment and community.
We are therefore committed to continual improvement measured by way of annual benchmarking assessments. The team at Breathless Resort strives towards minimizing our footprint on the environment by implementing sustainable initiatives aimed at improving the hotel’s performance, reducing the use of energy and water and the production of waste.
Breathless Resort & Spa will comply with all relevant legislation and regulations and strive to achieve international best practices.
Breathless Resorts & Spa has appointed an Environmental Health and Safety Manager as the Sustainability Champion, who has the responsibility, experience and skills for securing sustainability performance.
Special consideration will be given to employing and empowering local employees through our investment in training and development and wherever possible environmentally sustainable products and services will be locally sourced.
